LOCATION AND AREA
Gurgaon is situated in NCR (National Capital Region) of Delhi, the capital of India. It is just 10 kms away from Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi
Gurgaon district is surrounded by Delhi & Rajasthan.
The district lies between 27 degree 39' and 28 degree 32' 25" latitude, and 76 degree 39' 30"and 77 degree 20' 45" longitude
Total Area: 2760 sq. km
POPULATION
Gurgaon’s official population as per census of 2001 was 1.6 million. However, there has been a great influx of young people into the city since then, who are being employed in Multi National Companies and Call Centers that are being set up. Hence the actual population today
(according to unofficial sources) could be even as much as 2 million or more.

Approximate Urban Population : 300,000
Approximate Literate Population : 900,000
The majority of population of the district consist of Hindus. They predominate both in the rural and urban areas except in the Nuh and Ferozpur Jhirka tehsils where the Muslims are in majority.
Gurgaon has a burgeoning population of young people in the age group of 20-30 yrs who are employed with the Corporate sector specializing in business outsourcing.

Gurgaon is a home to many industries as it is in close contact with the cosmopolitan world (being close to national capital - Delhi). It has an excellent law and order situation with peaceful environs. Gurgaon has been able to attract sizable investment from Multinational companies, large business houses, foreign investors, Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and specially BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) Organizations.
